Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Illinois is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide a classroom, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore and grow.

You will connect with families, collaborate with center staff and leadership to support enrollment and accreditation, and build positive relationships with the community.

This role requires strong communication, a CDA credential or equivalent, and a passion for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements met.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare curriculum in line with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center success by collaborating with center staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
