Job summary

KinderCare is seeking a Lead Teacher in Chicago to guide and mentor fellow staff, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing classroom where children can play and learn. You will partner with families, support enrollment and program goals, and work with state licensing authorities to ensure high-quality care for every child.

With strong customer service and organization, you will help children build confidence for their future.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
