Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Lead Teacher in Illinois. You will lead and mentor teachers, implement the curriculum to meet each child’s needs, and create a safe, engaging learning environment.

You’ll partner with parents to support student success and work with staff to drive enrollment and accreditation goals. The role emphasizes strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, with required CDA credentials and state qualifications to obtain.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills; able to multi-task effectively.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or pursuing NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; work indoors/outdoors.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center success by collaborating with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and partners.
