Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Illinois is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide and mentor educators in the classroom, implementing the KinderCare curriculum and creating a safe, nurturing environment for children. You will partner with parents and center staff to drive enrollment and engagement while meeting state qualifications.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and the ability to communicate clearly with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Active CDA credential or NAECY candidacy preferred.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Read, write, understand and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare curriculum consistently for each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner with parents to support children's education and development.
• Support center success by helping with enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals.
• Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community and partners.
