Job summary

La Petite Academy in Oklahoma City is seeking a Team Lead to oversee classroom instruction and lead the teaching team. You will guide curriculum, support families, and mentor new hires while maintaining licensing standards and a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in licensed childcare, know how to balance instruction with care, and are ready to step into leadership duties when needed. A supportive team and opportunities for professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support center success.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow Teachers, creating engaging learning experiences.
• Take on Director/Assistant Director duties in absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
