Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide and mentor fellow teachers, delivering consistent curriculum and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young learners in our centers across DC and beyond. You will engage families and connect with community partners, helping drive enrollment and program quality.

Candidates should have a CDA or ECE credential, a Bachelor’s in ECE or equivalent, and 2–3 years of experience. CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
