Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies seeks a Lead Teacher to support children's development and family engagement at a KinderCare center in Illinois. You will mentor peers, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom environment.

You will collaborate with families and center staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals while upholding KinderCare standards. This role requires strong communication and caregiving skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or meeting NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer certification preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• English reading/writing/speaking to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
