Job summary

Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for the Infant/Mobile Infant classroom. You will guide and nurture our youngest learners, building strong foundations during a critical stage of development.

The role involves planning developmentally appropriate activities, monitoring growth, communicating with families, and mentoring assistant staff while upholding licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or early education setting.
• Knowledge of infant developmental stages and age-appropriate curriculum.
• CDA credential or Early Childhood Education degree preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to meet West Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented professional demeanor.

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early developmental milestones
• Monitor and document each child's growth, development, and daily activities
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and health standards
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Follow proper feeding, diapering, and sleep safety protocols in accordance with state regulations
