Job description

One of the leading child care centers in Orange County is looking to add new dedicated team members seeking long-term and stable jobs with excellent opportunities for growth in the educational field.

Our Orange County locations are currently seeking:

1. Qualified Preschool Teachers
2. Infant / Toddler Teachers
3. Teacher Assistants

The ideal candidate will have 12 ECE qualified units.

We will consider applicants who have some ECE classes and are willing to enroll in additional classes to complete their qualification. We are committed to helping our employees get qualified by enrolling them in the required ECE units. Infant / Toddler teachers should have 3 units in infant/toddler care.

For assistant teachers, no ECE classes are required. However, we seek individuals willing to take the necessary ECE courses, and we will assist in this process.

We are open to training candidates without experience who are a good fit for the role.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
• Assistance in the classroom by qualified teachers or assistants.
• Addressing concerns of parents, children, and staff appropriately.
• Maintaining cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the classroom environment.
• Counseling children with social, academic, or adjustment issues.
• Preparing and implementing lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
• Developing instructional aids and materials for activities.
• Assisting children during meal times and clean-up.
• Ensuring classroom and outdoor equipment are in good condition and properly used.
• Arranging the classroom into interest areas.
• Directing classroom activities to ensure orderliness.
• Communicating relevant information to parents.
• Completing necessary paperwork such as daily notes, accident reports, attendance, and feeding/sleeping charts.
• Maintaining family information and bulletin boards.

Candidates must meet state requirements, including a medical exam/physical and a clear background check. They should also be able to lift at least 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday. Please be prepared to send transcripts to verify ECE classes.

Pay is based on education and experience in childcare and front office roles within a childcare setting.
