Job summary

Columbus Early Learning Centers is seeking a Lead Teacher in Columbus, OH. You will lead a classroom team, uphold safety standards, and implement developmentally appropriate curricula in a supportive setting.

The role requires a BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or related field and at least two years of teaching experience. CPL 3 or higher is preferred, with familiarity of ODJFS licensing rules a plus for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required/strongly preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Career Pathway Level (CPL 3) or higher preferred; familiarity with ODJFS licensing rules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom teaching team and foster a respectful, collaborative environment.
• Ensure child safety and well-being through active supervision and a clean play area.
• Plan and maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized learning environment.
• Provide First Aid or CPR in emergencies and prevent the spread of illness.
• Observe children for illness, injury or distress and report to the Center Director.
