Job summary

Greater Columbus Community House is hiring a Lead Infant 2 Teacher for the Christ Child Early Learning Center in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on daily planning, implementation, and supervision of classroom activities in alignment with center policies, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

The position requires an associate degree in early childhood education (Bachelor's preferred) and 1–2 years of experience with young children, plus certifications

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in an early childhood setting.
• Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and related certifications.
• Experience leading a classroom or showing leadership within an early childhood environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor daily classroom activities per program philosophy and policies.
• Develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans supporting cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs and backgrounds.
• Create and foster a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times with a focus on health and safety; collaborate with staff as needed.
