Job summary

KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School, part of KIPP Massachusetts, seeks a Lead Teacher to empower students through rigorous, culturally responsive instruction in a joyful, inclusive environment. You will lead classrooms, collaborate with families, and contribute to a high-expectations culture that centers student growth and equity.

The role requires 2+ years of full-time teaching, a Bachelor’s degree, and MTEL/SEI endorsements pursued with district support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Pass Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

• Lead or co-lead a classroom with responsibilities including independent teaching, co-teaching, coverage, or stepping into a lead role later in the year
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date student grades and communicate regularly with families
• Develop rigorous, engaging lessons aligned to provided curricula/resources
• Set ambitious growth goals with all students and monitor progress
• Participate in school-wide and grade-level collaborative planning and professional development
• Collaborate with families through regular calls, texts, or emails regarding student growth
• Demonstrate flexible, inclusive instruction and effective behavior management strategies
