Bangor Region YMCA is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher in Bangor, ME. The role leads a classroom team of two staff and delivers the Creative Curriculum Gold, fostering curiosity and growth in early learners.

You will work in-person at the Bangor Region YMCA, with support from curriculum specialists and management. This full-time, year-round position requires an Associate Degree in a related field, MRTQ training within 90 days, and previous leadership experience in early childhood education.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Child Development, Education, or a related field.
• Completion of Maine Early Learning Guidelines Training through the Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) Professional Development Network within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience working with children in an early education setting.
• Experience leading an Early Childhood Education classroom.
• Excellent references from recent supervisors.
• Solid job history without a lot of job hopping.
