Job summary

Acquire4Hire LLC is seeking an early childhood education professional to develop weekly plans, implement Creative Curriculum, and ensure daily operations align with Head Start standards. You will supervise assistants, coordinate with parents, and maintain a safe, enriching classroom environment.

Responsibilities include ongoing assessment, staff training, parent conferences, and continuous knowledge in early childhood education to support each child’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with Assistant Teacher(s) to develop weekly plans and activities.
• Develop Weekly Lesson plans using Creative Curriculum and activities and evaluate the Academy’s effectiveness.
• Implement standards, policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines in daily operations.
• Assist with developmental, behavioral, and sensory screenings within the schedule mandated by regulations and standards.
• Maintain records on each child’s progress and development for planning and Head Start compliance.
• Record observations, parent-teacher conferences, assessments, ASQ’s and ILP’s to document growth; attend staff meetings.
• Review progress with staff and develop written plans to promote each child’s growth and development.
• Coordinate and work closely with parents including parent/teacher conferences.
• Help maintain the facility in a safe and satisfactory condition.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to assistant teachers; share daily plans and goals for children.
• Assist the Center Director in providing orientation and training for new staff.
• Plan and implement the daily program of activities with classroom staff per the curriculum.
• Set up a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment for growth.
• Develop positive relationships with children to promote self-esteem and self-discipline.
• Observe each child daily to assess skills and needs and guide learning and growth.
• Establish positive relationships with families and share information about the child’s day.
• Help parents understand the curriculum and involve them in the daily program.
• Conduct individual parent conferences at least three times a year.
• Keep current knowledge in Early Childhood Education and maintain in-service hours yearly.
