Job summary

Circle of Friends is seeking a Lead Teacher in Rockville, CA to join an experienced team dedicated to high-quality early childhood education. The role emphasizes nurturing care, leadership in the classroom, and strong communication with families to support children’s development.

Ideal candidates will have 12 ECE units, 1 year of licensed center experience, and CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 ECE/Child Development units required, including core courses.
• Prefer 3 units in Infant/Toddler Development.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed child care center.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available Monday–Friday 6:45 AM–5:45 PM.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Maintain a welcoming, engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Support daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and rest periods.
• Maintain logs, documentation, and records.
• Follow Circle of Friends policies and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and site leadership.
• Model professionalism and high-quality care for team members.
