Circle of Friends Child Development Center is seeking a dedicated Mentor Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment while supporting and guiding a team of educators.

You will coordinate daily classroom operations, mentor teachers, observe practices, and collaborate to implement effective strategies. Strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of early childhood education are essential; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred, and a CA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education with a leadership track record.
• Proven mentoring and coaching experience for teachers.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• California driver’s license and current personal vehicle insurance.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the classroom.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
• Mentor and guide a team of teachers with ongoing coaching.
• Conduct regular observations and evaluations of teachers.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to teaching staff.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective classroom strategies.
• Offer individualized coaching to address professional needs of teachers.
• Assist in staff retention and foster a positive work environment.
