Zusammenfassung

Educare of Omaha, Inc. is a non-profit organization partnering with Early Head Start/Head Start and local schools to promote school readiness for children ages 0 to 5.

The Lead Teacher will plan, implement and coordinate a comprehensive education program at one Educare school (Kellom, Indian Hill, Skinner, Gateway, or Kennedy). The role is full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday) with schedules between 7:00am–5:30pm.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in education required or preferred.
• CDA certification required within 12 months if the bachelor’s degree is not in Early Childhood Education.
• Two years of early childhood experience in a group setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Observe, assess and document each child’s development in appropriate systems.
• Develop individualized lesson plans for each child.
• Coordinate referrals for children with special needs or mental health needs.
• Contribute to and participate in IDT and IFSP/IEP processes.
• Assist transitions between programs (infant/toddler to preschool, preschool to kindergarten).
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities across five developmental domains.
• Develop documentation panels to share learning with families.
