Job summary

Kiddie Academy of Henderson in Henderson, NV seeks a part-time, temporary Preschool/Childcare Teacher to provide a developmentally appropriate educational environment and supervise staff in the classroom. You will plan daily activities, assess progress, and ensure safety and compliance with licensing requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, coordinating with families, attending meetings, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.

Qualifications

• Must meet all state licensing requirements for the position.
• Candidate must pass all state background checks to qualify for employment.
• Employees must complete the required annual training hours per state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Meet the physical, social and emotional needs of children daily.
• Implement all policies to keep children healthy and safe.
• Create activities that foster curiosity and problem solving by developmental level.
• Assist and supervise children during activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment per guidelines.
• Complete classroom paperwork and attendance records accurately.
• Attend staff meetings, events and parent meetings as requested.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans and schedules.
• Develop instructional aids and materials for activities.
• Assist with meals and cleanup.
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition and used properly.
• Direct other staff in the classroom to maintain order.
• Maintain open communication with parents to encourage family engagement.
• Schedule conferences with parents and teachers; comply with licensing rules.
• Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis.
