Job summary

Training and Research Foundation in Orange and Riverside Counties seeks a Lead Teacher to grow into leadership while remaining in the classroom. You will lead in the absence of the Site Director, mentor staff, and maintain classroom excellence with strong documentation.

You will balance teaching with site leadership tasks, ensuring compliance, safety, and positive outcomes for children and families during daily operations. This is a pathway to program leadership within TRF.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Minimum 24 ECE units and Site Supervisor Permit (CCTC).
• BA in ECE with Site Supervisor Teacher or higher permit preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support fellow teaching staff by modeling best practices in early childhood instruction.
• Stay current on child development research and bring new learning back to the team.
• Maintain required records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Review and approve timesheets, work orders, and purchase orders when leading.
• Communicate site concerns to the administrative office promptly and professionally.
