Job summary

TRFCF in Anaheim, California seeks a School-Age Teacher to create a safe, engaging program for children ages 5-12. You will lead activities, support homework, and foster independence while building positive relationships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• An AA/AS in Early Childhood Education with 24 ECE units and a CCTC Teacher Permit are required.
• Minimum two years’ experience with school-age children (ages 5–12).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities based on children’s interests and abilities.
• Support learning, homework, reading, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a welcoming classroom environment and help children build independence and social skills.
• Provide positive guidance and resolve conflicts while ensuring safety and supervision.
• Build relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support each child’s success.
