Job summary

The Learning Experience - Apopka is seeking a Lead Teacher to oversee the classroom, promote a safe and engaging learning environment, and mentor newer teachers. You will implement the proprietary LEAP Curriculum® for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, while modeling best practices for growth and development.

You will communicate with families, coordinate with center staff, and support enrollment and engagement initiatives to help the center thrive.

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred; at least six months required.
• Associate degree or higher in ECE or related field preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom management in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Model behaviors and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom.
• Implement The LEAP Curriculum® in a way that meets each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate with parents about children’s activities via apps and personal discussions.
• Support center goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Ensure the safety and security of each child.
• Greet visitors and manage communications.
