Job summary

Chambliss Center for Children’s Red Bank Center seeks an experienced preschool teacher to lead our 3-year-olds in a safe, nurturing environment. You will plan engaging activities, supervise daily routines, and collaborate with families and leadership to support early learning.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Requirements include 2–3 years of preschool experience, 18+, and a high school diploma or GED; a CDA or degree in early childhood is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of classroom experience with preschool-age children (ages 2–5).
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Patience, flexibility and compassion for young children.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and sit on the floor; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, engaging classroom for 3-year-olds.
• Plan and lead activities that support social, emotional, physical, and early learning development.
• Supervise children actively and follow all safety and licensing requirements.
• Build consistent daily routines with smooth transitions.
• Use positive guidance to support behavior, independence, and social skills.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming, including daily cleaning and sanitizing.
• Partner with families, co-teachers, and center leadership.

Preferred: ECE technical certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
