Job summary

The Wonder Years Learning Center in Wilmington, MA is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners in a nurturing and creative environment.

You will be working with an experienced Teacher, who has been a long-term employee to plan curriculum and co-lead the classroom. If you love inspiring curiosity and helping children grow, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Massachusetts state requirements.
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement an age-appropriate play-based curriculum aligned with early childhood development standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for all children.
• Support nature-based outdoor play 2-3 times each day.
• Monitor and document individual child progress and developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.
• Collaborate with staff to support a positive, team-oriented learning community.
