Job summary

Sylvan Learning in the Greater Raleigh Area is seeking Lead Teachers to manage daily center operations, deliver tutoring across K-12 subjects, and ensure a high-quality customer experience at Wake Forest, Raleigh, Garner, and Knightdale locations.

The role requires strong customer service, scheduling skills, and collaboration with teachers and families. A four-year degree is preferred and flexible hours include evenings and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Four year degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of customer service experience.
• Experience tutoring and/or teaching preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other standard business applications used by the Center, including current social media tools.
• Experience using social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) preferred.
• Familiarity with instructional technology and tablet computers preferred.
• Knowledge of current education trends preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Sylvan Learning is looking to add Lead Teachers to our growing team in one or more of our locations in the Greater Raleigh Area. Locations include Wake Forest, Raleigh, Garner & Knightdale. The Lead Teacher is responsible for managing the overall customer experience, managing the day-to-day Center operations, including scheduling, to ensure a consistent, quality educational experience for Sylvan customers. He/she also tutors when needed and/or assists tutors as needed. He/she ensures that policies and procedures are executed according to Sylvan standards. The Lead Teacher communicates with Center staff and serves as the principle point of contact for the Director and/or Owner.

• $16- $18/hour

• 15-30 hours/week
