Job summary

Lake Asbury Learning Center is seeking an educator to create a safe, engaging classroom where children grow, learn, and build confidence daily. You will implement curriculum, provide positive guidance, and partner with families and staff to deliver high-quality early education.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an Associate or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and 1–2 years of preschool experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.
• Must meet state licensing, certification (including CPR/First Aid where required), licensing, and background check requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment and maintain safety and ratio compliance.
• Lead activities that support children's learning and development.
• Provide active supervision and guide behavior through positive reinforcement.
• Support daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions.
• Observe, document, and share student progress with families.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver a consistent, high-quality classroom experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state licensing requirements and classroom compliance expectations.
• Must meet all state-specific education, certification (including CPR/First Aid, where required), licensing, and regulatory requirements, including the ability to pass a background check and complete ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
