Job summary

Jack and Jen Child Care Center in Texas is seeking a dedicated educator to create a safe, engaging classroom where children grow, learn, and gain confidence each day. You will implement curriculum, guide behavior, and partner with families to support young learners.

As part of a caring team, you will observe progress, document development, and collaborate to deliver consistent, high-quality early education. A state license, background check, and CPR/First Aid are required or supported.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of state licensing requirements and classroom compliance expectations.
  • Must pass background check and complete ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment and ensure safety and ratio requirements.
  • Lead activities that support children’s learning and development.
  • Provide active supervision and guide behavior through positive reinforcement.
  • Support daily routines, including meals, naps, and transitions.
  • Observe, document, and share student progress with families.
  • Collaborate with your team to deliver a consistent, high-quality classroom experience.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)required. Degree in Early Childhood Education ora relatedfield preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of state licensing requirements and classroom compliance expectations.
  • Must meet all state-specific education, certification (including CPR/First Aid, whererequired), licensing, and regulatory requirements, including the ability to pass a background check and complete ongoing professional development.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to build andmaintainpositive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
