Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of assigned classes.
- Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment.
- Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
- Communicate with parents and other staff to share children’s progress and achievements.
- Maintain appropriate class ratios and ensure classroom resources support success.
- Adhere to school policies and child‑safety procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging curricula.
- Understand and promote the well‑being and learning of each child.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field; or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification; or a degree in any field with 6 hours of Early Childhood credits.
- 1–2 years of prior experience preferred.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills with children, parents, and faculty.
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multitasking.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (and for infant and toddler teachers, lift infants into and out of a crib).
- Meets background‑check eligibility requirements.
