Position: Lead Teacher - 2s Classroom

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our 2s classroom at The Learning Experience. Candidates should have at least 90 credits in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Apply now and join our passionate team of Early Childhood Educators.

Pay: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Serve as a role model, fostering a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
  • Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, tailored to each child's needs.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for play and learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their children's progress through various channels, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Support the center’s success by collaborating with staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement goals.
  • Build strong relationships with families and coworkers to promote a dynamic learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum six months of professional teaching experience; one year preferred.
  • NYC Teaching Certification for Birth to 2 years (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an Associate degree or higher in ECE or related field; study plan for early childcare certification encouraged.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
