Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN, seeks a Lead, Tax Risk Management to oversee NA income tax audits and strategy with federal, state/local, and Canadian authorities. You will coordinate with the tax team, ensure timely compliance, and support audit readiness across the organization.

The role requires significant expertise in tax risk management, audit responses, and cross-border issues. A CPA or equivalent, advanced degrees welcome, and SAP/BNA tools proficiency are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Accounting, Tax, or Audit.
• CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent.
• MST, MBA, JD, LLM a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and BNA Tax Research.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of principle-based pre-audit planning with Tax team members and external consultants.
• Identify, research, and implement strategies to address risks and opportunities during examinations.
• Prepare responses to tax authorities for US Federal, state/local, and Canadian audits.
• Improve and maintain the tax risk audit management platform and KPI reporting tools.
• Lead or support projects to deliver tax objectives, such as R&D credit initiatives.
