Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Lead, Tax Risk Management to oversee U.S. federal, state/local, and Canadian income tax audit relations.

You will partner with Tax team members, BSAM SMEs, and external consultants to develop audit strategies, respond to authorities, and minimize risk while ensuring audit readiness of tax workpapers. The ideal candidate holds a CPA or equivalent, with 5+ years in accounting, tax, or audit, and is proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience in Accounting, Tax, or Audit
• CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent
• MST, MBA, JD, LLM a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and BNA Tax Research

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing principle-based pre-audit planning
• Coordinate with Tax team, BSAM SMEs, and external consultants to prepare narratives for tax audit responses
• Identify, research, and implement strategies to address risks during examinations
• Prepare responses to US Federal, state/local, and Canadian income tax audit information requests
• Improve and maintain the tax risk audit management platform and KPI reporting tools
• Lead or support projects to deliver tax or business objectives, such as the R&D credit project
