Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Lead, Tax Risk Management to join our Nashville, TN team. The role supports managing NA income tax audit relationships with U.S.

federal, state/local and Canadian authorities, coordinating with the tax team and SMEs to develop audit strategy and respond to requests to minimize risk. You will ensure compliance timelines, work with tax compliance and reporting, and help maintain the IDR system and KPI dashboards, while leading related projects such as the R&D

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Accounting, Tax, or Audit.
• CPA, CMI, CAE or international equivalent.
• MST, MBA, JD, LLM a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and BNA Tax Research.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of pre-audit planning.
• Partner with Tax team members and consultants to prepare narratives for tax audit responses.
• Identify, research, and implement strategies to address risks during examinations.
• Prepare responses to tax authorities for US Federal, state & local, and Canadian income tax audit information requests.
• Improve and maintain the tax risk audit management platform and KPI reporting tools.
• Lead or support projects to deliver tax or business objectives.

Skills

5+ years of related experience in Tax/

CPA/CMI/CAE or international equival.

MST/MBA/JD/LLM a plus
