Job summary

Referrals Only is seeking a lead Systems Support Engineer to help ensure operational efficiency, stability and availability of complex application systems. You will guide the team, manage incidents, and drive DevOps practices while engaging directly with clients to solve problems and deliver innovative solutions.

You will own monitoring, reporting, and performance optimization, work across monolithic and microservices architectures, and mentor peers to elevate the team's technical capabilities

Qualifications

• Strong experience debugging and triaging complex applications.
• Hands-on with incident management, monitoring, and reporting.
• Ability to mentor peers and lead technical initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Understand complex application systems to identify and fix business-impacting issues.
• Utilize monitoring tools to generate reports and drive corrective actions.
• Use logging techniques for alerting and root-cause analysis.
• Lead upgrades, migrations and maintenance with minimal downtime.
• Apply continuous delivery practices to deliver value quickly.
• Deploy and operate software using DevOps practices.
• Mentor less-experienced peers and share knowledge.
