Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to lead a team of engineers on sea-launched cruise missile programs. You will provide both technical leadership and program management across multiple sites and suppliers.

The role requires a strong background in systems engineering, production, and liaison with customers, with a focus on delivering technical excellence and program results.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with an active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master’s degree
• Experience with production, manufacturing, logistics, or affordability
• Experience briefing and interfacing with high-level customers

Responsibilities

• Provide both engineering functional leadership and technical project execution leadership for a team of ~10–15 engineers
• Lead the definition and development of production scaling and product support equipment, plans, and materials
• Collaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groups
• Prepare, manage, and review technical specifications, SOWs, and design reviews; contribute to proposal activities
