Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering / development or similar
• Experience leading a team and delegating tasks
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Solid scripting with PowerShell, Python, Bourne shell, Groovy, or Ruby
• Familiarity with SDLC tools (Git, Puppet, etc.)
• Automation/configuration management with Puppet, Chef, Ansible or equivalent
• Understanding of scalable, highly available architectures
• Strong communication and project-management skills
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tooling

Responsibilities

• Educate and mentor team on deployment methodologies and technologies
• Delegate tasks and ensure timely completion by subordinates
• Assist in design and implementation of server and application delivery
• Tune systems for maximum performance
• Automate manual tasks using scripts and tooling
• Adopt new technologies quickly and effectively
• Provide 24/7 production support when needed
• Evaluate OS versions, drivers, and patches
• Provide technical analysis and problem resolution
• Coordinate with developers, operations, and end-users
• Mentor teammates across teams and QA
• Ensure streamlined deployments as part of SDLC
• Manage infrastructure lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning
