Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering - Solipsys to join our Rockwall, TX team. This role focuses on requirements, design, development, and integration of complex hardware/software systems for airborne ISR and communications platforms.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Solypsis C2 mission software, driving architecture development, configuration, and testing. Travel requirements vary by program phase, with higher demand during integration and delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field.
9+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree reduces requirement to 7 years.
In lieu of a degree, 13 years of prior related experience.
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering requirements development, decomposition, traceability, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary C2 product owner, leveraging Solypsis software architecture and configuration options.
Integrate and configure Solypsis for airborne C2 weapon systems and NATO-enabled platforms.
Develop and maintain exportable Solypsis configurations across programs.
Translate CONOPS into C2 software requirements and configurations.
Translate customer requests into system requirements with traceability.
Write subsystem specs from system-level requirements and evaluate design options.
Present Solypsis C2 capabilities to non-technical stakeholders.
Develop and implement software and system test plans in a team environment.
