Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to serve as the primary engineering interface for Customer Platforms, sustaining mission-critical communications capabilities.

This role leads cross-functional teams across operational support, flight test, software releases, system integration, verification, and obsolescence management to meet mission and contractual requirements. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 9+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7+ years of experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 13 years of related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary engineering interface for Customer Platforms and sustainment of mission-critical communications capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional engineering efforts including operational support, flight test, software releases, system integration, verification, configuration management, and obsolescence management.
• Collaborate with Customers, program leadership, internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and shape priorities.
• Ensure delivered capabilities meet mission, contractual, and operational requirements; provide status on risk and mitigation.
• Plan and execute requirements management, interface control, and verification activities across programs.
• Support proposal development and technical demonstrations as needed.
