Job summary

Marcurius is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer / Integration Lead to own the technical architecture across multiple USV classes, ensuring hull, electrical, autonomy, mission systems, and vendor subsystems form a coherent product family.

You will define interfaces, manage requirements and verification, and drive integration across internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced maritime defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in systems/electrical/mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• 7+ years in systems engineering, integration on complex defense programs.
• Experience defining and managing subsystem interfaces across teams or vendors.
• Hands-on ICD development and maintenance.
• Experience with DOORS/DOORS NG/JAMA for requirements management and traceability.
• Ability to operate across mechanical, electrical, software, and test disciplines.
• Experience leading formal design reviews (PDR/CDR).

Responsibilities

• Own system architecture across multiple USV classes and define common vs platform-specific elements.
• Define, enforce, and control interfaces across major subsystems and vendors.
• Develop and manage ICDs and ensure cross-team compliance.
• Own the requirements structure with traceability and verification logic.
• Lead architecture trade studies to drive product-family decisions.
• Identify and manage system-level integration risks before hardware issues arise.
• Lead and drive integration reviews, PDR/CDR, and test readiness.
• Make decisions on integration conflicts across disciplines or vendors.
• Coordinate configuration baseline logic with engineering leads for design consistency.
• Own autonomy, mission systems, and GCS architecture decisions and workflows.
• Chair interface discussions with vendors and internal teams with clear accountability.
