Job summary

WideNet Consulting Group seeks a Lead Systems Engineer – IT Services to drive the rollout and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the enterprise from Bothell office, with 50% on-site time.

You will partner with IT, Security, Data Operations, Infrastructure and business stakeholders to secure data, govern access, and enable productive adoption.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Microsoft 365 engineering experience across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot in an enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, and Compliance Manager.
• Experience with information governance and permissions remediation in Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph and Copilot Studio.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, and using Viva Insights, Copilot Analytics, and the M365 Admin Center.
• Understanding of Responsible AI principles and enterprise compliance requirements.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non technical audiences and lead training sessions.
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Copilot readiness assessments to identify gaps in data access, permissions, and governance.
• Identify and remediate oversharing and permissions issues across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related workloads.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview controls, including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, and Compliance Manager.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 Copilot across the tenant, including configuration, licensing, and ongoing support.
• Build usage and adoption reporting through Copilot Analytics, Viva Insights, Power BI, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Support Copilot Studio development, including agents and automation initiatives.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify high impact AI use cases and help put them into practice.
• Support user adoption through training sessions, prompt libraries, office hours, and ongoing optimization.
• Track and report on productivity improvements tied to Copilot usage.
• Ensure all Copilot solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and Responsible AI requirements.
• Collaborate across IT, Security, Data Operations, and Infrastructure teams to resolve issues and align on priorities.

Lead Systems Engineer – IT Services will provide engineering leadership for the rollout and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the enterprise. This project focuses on preparing the environment for Copilot, securing the data it can access, and helping employees use it in ways that make a real difference in their work.
The work spans SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Purview. The engineer will partner with IT, Security, Data Operations, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to make sure Copilot is deployed securely, governed properly, and aligned with enterprise compliance and Responsible AI standards. Beyond the technical deployment, the project includes building adoption programs, tracking usage, and measuring productivity gains across the organization.

Pay Range:$85.00 – $95.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
