Job summary

Revolutional in Suitland, MD is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer for a large federal modernization program. You will drive end-to-end systems engineering across architecture and delivery, coordinating multi-team efforts to translate designs into scalable, secure solutions.

You will steer system requirements, interfaces, and integration across cloud environments, ensuring performance and mission-aligned outcomes while guiding DevSecOps practices and risk management.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale IT systems or modernization programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across systems engineering efforts within the DTAM program.
• Translate architectural designs into actionable engineering plans and execution.
• Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and integration points.
• Lead system integration across applications, data platforms, and cloud environments.
• Ensure systems meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Support modernization efforts by engineering transitions from legacy to cloud systems.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, data engineers, and program leadership to ensure alignment.
• Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, enabling automation, testing, and continuous delivery.
• Mentor engineering teams and enforce systems engineering best practices.
