Job summary

AMD is seeking a lead systems engineer in San Jose, CA, to provide thought leadership and SME for the EDA Infrastructure team. You will lead by example, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive the design, delivery, and support of scalable architectures.

You will collaborate with architects, empower a technical operations team, and help ensure architecture quality and operability in a dynamic, award-winning culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Hands-on leadership with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience supporting EDA infrastructure and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical presentations demonstrating understanding of application, data, infrastructure, architecture and design of solutions.
• Collaborate with architects and be responsible for defining and delivering architectures, patterns, quality, risks, and operability of solutions.
• Mentor the operations team and lead by example; be hands-on.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; own problems and drive resolution.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, excellence, and collaboration.
