Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership on sustainment and modernization programs within the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) team. You will guide an engineering team through requirements analysis, design, prototyping, fabrication, verification testing, and sell-off.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering (ABET-accredited), 12+ years in leadership roles, and a demonstrated ability to communicate complex

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in EE/BE/CE with 12 years' relevant experience.
• Experience leading a project/team through the full lifecycle.
• Strong communication of complex technical concepts.
• DoD program experience and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team through the full program lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, prototyping, fabrication, verification testing, and sell-off.
• Coordinate workload and assignments of a team, ensuring efficient execution of engineering tasks.
• Maintain a backlog of tasks and set team priorities aligned with the program development schedule.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for team-related issues and provide regular progress updates, risks and blockers to senior management.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in technical domains, engineering design principles, and project execution best practices.
• Perform hands-on integration and testing of complex systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments.
• Generate and update system and sub-system level specifications, ensure verification traceability, develop test plans, analyze test results, and prepare comprehensive reports.
