Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to join an aerospace and telecommunications-focused team onsite in Lanham, MD. You will own technical direction from requirements through verification and validation.

You will coordinate RF, software, mechanical and electrical disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and lead development of new mission concepts and system architectures. The compensation ranges from $120,000 to $200,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading a Systems Engineering team.
• Experience with DOORS/Jama for requirements management.
• MBSE skills using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• MATLAB/Simulink analysis and trade studies.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction from requirements to verification and validation.
• Develop and track technical budgets (mass, power, link, schedule).
• Lead the development of new mission concepts and system architectures.
• Translate high-level requirements into subsystem/interface specifications.
• Coordinate across RF, software, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
