Job summary

AMD is seeking a Lead Systems Debug Engineer in Austin, TX or Bellevue, WA to drive customer issues to resolution for server SOC programs. You will leverage expertise in RAS, PCIe/CXL, memory and MCA to provide scalable, robust debugging and root-cause analysis.

Collaboration with global teams, and engagement with multiple hardware/software groups, are key components of the role. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong scripting in Python, and a track record of post-silicon

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in electrical or computer engineering.
  • 10+ years of total experience across RAS, PCIe/CXL, memory, and MCA/MCE.
  • Experience with post-silicon validation and scripting in Python.

Responsibilities

  • Work on RAS, PCIe, Memory, MCA, CXL and micro-controller related failures with customers.
  • Collaborate with AMD global teams to identify best solutions.
  • Provide validation and debug recommendations for features and questions.
  • Use debug tools to narrow down root causes of customer failures.
  • Debug issues across bring-up, validation and production phases of SOC programs.
  • Engage with software, hardware and design teams; lead cross-team task forces.
