Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a System Administrator Lead in Albuquerque to provide technical leadership for Windows and Linux server environments and related infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 5+ years of Windows/Linux server administration.
• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of Windows/Linux servers, including build, configuration, hardening, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity stakeholders to validate control implementation and reduce misconfiguration risk.
• Plan and execute patching and maintenance windows; ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Support continuous monitoring by ensuring server logging, time synchronization, and security telemetry requirements.
• Own and enforce configuration management and change control for server/infrastructure changes.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for server administration activities to support audits.
• Provide technical input to RMF/SA&A artifacts with control evidence and configuration details.
• Support incident response activities including containment, triage, and remediation.
• Coordinate with help desk on escalated issues and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and enterprise architecture to align designs with modernization and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to staff with task assignments and runbooks.
