Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking an experienced Staff-level System Thermal Engineer in Fremont, CA to design and validate thermal solutions for AI and compute servers. You will develop air-cooled and liquid-cooled platforms, perform CFD analyses, and drive thermal performance through bring-up and manufacturing ramp.

The role requires 8+ years in thermal design for high-power electronics, with hands-on lab work and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with liquid cooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on thermal design experience for servers or high-power electronics.
• Experience with liquid cooling and hyperscale deployments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of airflow, heatsinks, cold plates, and cooling solutions.
• Ability to turn thermal data into practical design changes and communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• System thermal design for high-power GPU/CPU components across air and liquid cooling.
• Perform CFD and thermal simulations to guide layout and margins.
• Lab validation with sensors and characterization; correlate with simulations.
• Bring-up during EVT/DVT/PVT and drive corrective actions in ramp.
• Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, power, and manufacturing in design reviews.
