Job summary

Battelle’s Advanced Microsystem Solutions group seeks a System Security Engineer to support the Analytics and Digital Engineering team. You will identify security requirements, assess threats, and develop mitigations for mission-critical systems, leading junior staff and collaborating across domains.

The role spans government and commercial projects, with opportunities to influence architecture, risk assessment tools, and cybersecurity strategies in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with years of related experience or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• Experience with microelectronic systems design and familiarity with EDA tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST SP 800-53, DAF SSECG, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to develop system security engineering approaches from concept through deployment.
• Perform security analysis using advanced risk modeling tools and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Set goals with internal and external customers and translate them to the team.
• Provide technical vision by monitoring defense and cybersecurity trends and guiding investments.
