Job summary

Ellis Medicine is seeking a System Administrator II to support the hospital's critical IT systems. You will manage servers, storage, networks, VDI, and healthcare applications, while mentoring junior staff and driving IT projects to completion.

Responsibilities include security, backups, 365 management, and incident response, with a focus on reliability and collaboration with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, CS, or related field; certifications a plus.
• 2–4 years in system administration or IT support, healthcare setting preferred.
• Advanced server, storage, and network knowledge; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee configuration, installation, and maintenance of servers, storage, and network systems.
• Maintain the VDI to ensure applications and environments are accessible and running.
• Maintain backup systems for all servers and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor servers and ensure system availability and health.
• Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP; enforce changes as needed.
• Address tickets, provide RCA, and ensure timely resolutions.
• Maintain SQL databases and coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 including InTune and Azure management.
• Mentor system administrators and lead IT projects.
