Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Lead System Administrator to head our Hampton Roads-based enterprise IT operations. You will oversee provisioning, configuring, and maintaining critical infrastructure while upholding DoD security standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of progressive system administration, on-site or hybrid work as needed, and active DoD Secret clearance. You will drive automation, vulnerability management, and robust documentation to sustain high availability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of system administrators.
• 3–5 years of progressive system administration experience with Windows/Linux and virtualized environments.
• Strong security mindset with hands-on RMF and STIGs experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, OS, and storage to ensure uptime.
• Apply STIGs and RMF to maintain security posture.
• Perform vulnerability scans, patching, and remediation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery testing.
• Provide Tier III support and maintain SOPs and configuration logs.
