Job summary

A local swim school in Round Rock is looking for a Lead Swim Instructor who is passionate about kids and swimming. Responsibilities include teaching swimming skills, providing feedback, and ensuring swimmer safety. Ideal candidates have previous swim instruction experience and CPR certifications. Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction experience preferred, but training is available.
• WSI certification preferred.
• Current CPR-PR/AED, First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills according to curriculum in a fun manner.
• Provide positive feedback on swimming efforts.
• Ensure swimmer safety during lessons.
• Ensure swimmer safety.
• Maintain teaching standards to SafeSplash guidelines.
• Observe children's skills and manage attendance as a deck coach.
• Bring energetic personality to events supporting SafeSplash.

What will you do as a Lead Swim Instructor?

• Teach swimming skills according to Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback on swimming efforts
• Structure class time to include repetition, reinforcement, and skill introduction
• Ensure swimmer safety
• Maintain teaching standards to SafeSplash guidelines
• Observe children's skills and manage attendance as a deck coach
• Bring energetic personality to events supporting SafeSplash

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction experience preferred; training available
• WSI certification preferred
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adults, swimmers, and infants preferred; certification assistance provided within 60 days of hire
• Experience teaching children aged 4 months to 10 years and individuals with Special Needs is a plus
