Job summary

Baierl Family YMCA in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Head Swim Coach to provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for the swim team. The role reports to the Aquatics Director and is a part-time position at the Baierl Family YMCA facility.

Qualifications include Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Principles of YMCA Swimming and Diving, CPR/AED/First Aid, and being at least 21 years old. Responsibilities cover planning practices, working with coaches and parents, meeting safety standards,

Qualifications

• Be able to complete Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
• Be able to complete Principles of YMCA Swimming and Diving.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen and Lifeguarding or Water Safety for Coaches.
• At least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Retain and recruit swim team members.
• Work closely with other coaches, parents and the Aquatics Department to ensure that our team meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Ensure that the team and participants are following league rules and regulations.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.
• Plan and administer practice for assigned training groups.
• Attend swim meets and other functions as required.
